Can This Be An End For Homelessness In Veterans?

This year, Veterans Affairs leaders will reiterate their 2022 objective of placing at least 38,000 financially distressed Veterans in secure homes; however, they are also establishing new benchmarks to guarantee that these actions result in long-lasting benefits for those in need.

The new strategies, which are intended to build on the success of recent VA initiatives to prevent homelessness, were unveiled by department officials on Wednesday morning. Around 40,000 homeless Veterans received housing assistance from staff members last year, exceeding their stated objective.

Department leaders have vowed to make sure that 95% of the veterans assisted this year—up from 94% last year—do not experience homelessness again.

Do you think this could lead to the end of homelessness among Veterans?
