Builder IDs- Are all builders required to have a VA builder ID number? Where can I get the forms?

A VA builder Identification Number is necessary for the builder before the VA value notice is issued for any appraised property. This includes both “proposed or under construction” and “new constructions.” All of the requirements mentioned below should be fulfilled and filed at the C&V section at the Regional Loan Center (RLC), or at the property location where jurisdiction is applicable, to receive and maintain a valid VA-assigned builder ID. All certification and identifying information displayed in Figure 1 of the VA Lender’s Handbook (VA pamphlet 26-7) worded in the same order as displayed should be on the builder’s letterhead or attached to a statement on the builder’s letterhead which references it. Download these forms: Equal Employment Opportunity Certification, VA Form 26-421 and the VA Affirmative Marketing Certification, VA Form 26-8791. Both forms can be found at the following link http://www.va.gov/vaforms/
