Are VA disability compensation and VA pension the same?

There is a big difference between VA disability compensation and VA pension. VA disability compensation is the benefit paid for a service-connected disability. A VA pension is the benefit paid for an age-related disability, and is not service-connected. The pension is based on income; however there are other criteria that also determine eligibility. You can contact the VA regional office for assistance regarding pension or disability compensation or contact a local, state or national veteran service organization.

  1. I am applying for a loan and they wish an award letter with the amount being paid, my letter states 90 percent without the amount. viewing my pay statement amount it shows the $1819.71. I think they want it on one letter.

    Thanks for your help
