Many of you may not be aware of the adult day health program. Let me allow you to tell you about it. Adult day health care is basically a day program that contains health socialization, rehabilitation services, and caregiver and maintenance services. Vets who go for adult care are mostly the one who are elderly and disables. The program basically includes a segment that explains about the health issues and the role of society and the different functions. The basic purpose is to help the vets who participated and the ones taking care of them to manage things properly at home.
Service connected care:
For the vets with 0 percent service connection or non-service connection there is a form named as VA 10-10EC form. They need to fill the form in order to enjoy the benefits. If you want additional services you need to consider that application. www.1010ez.med.va.gov/sec/vha/1010
Service connected disable vets are excused from the long term copays.
Home Health Care Services (SHHC) and Homemaker and Home Health Aide Services (H/HHA):
SHHC, as the name suggest are the services provided at home under the supervision of experts including occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers etc. The special care includes so many activities such as treatment planning and provision and all the steps.
